Hey Henry!

In your Eurobike review to the BULLITT you wrote "The bike still needs some front end geometry tweaking and we hope that Harry and Larry are listening"

I don´t know if they listened to your advice or if they just improved their bike by standard developing progress, but the BULLITT that I rode recently in Hamburg, was perfectly stabilized!

I was so convinced by the concept, that I ordered a couple of them, too.
They fit perfectly in my Portuguese Urban Mobility Projekt:
http://www.lisbonize.com/?p=15
..and they are not in the showroom anymore...
...they are already in use! ;-)
http://www.lisbonize.com/?p=126

Best regards from Porto!

Hé, in principe is iedereen hartelijk welkom. Of we genoeg bier hebben, dat weet ik niet.

Hello Henry . I will keep an Eye out for an Irish Postie to see what the make of Bike he has, but as I said they are few and far Between. They seem to have only a few in Dublin Delivering on Bikes and they mostly Prefer Cars. I would see only One every few weeks and usually Whizing Past in the Opposite direction.

Hi Jack,
I'm pretty skeptical of many things but I think a good belt drive has a lot of advantages for a utility bike: no lubrication needed, doesn't rust, long wearing, no chain case needed, quiet... But there are some important limitations too: belts come in fixed lengths so the right size has to be available and changing gearing can be difficult or impossible, availability of spares will always be more of a challenge, frame must open to insert or remove the belt, , field repairs impossible... If the right parts were available at an attractive price (i.e. one tenth the present cost) I'd strongly consider mounting them on some Workcycles bikes.

I think the Irish Post uses Monark bikes. We sell some of these too. They're not fancy or high tech but they are solidly made and do their job. Here in Holland most post is delivered by bicycle but they use their own bicycles, usually really ratty old beaters, with the TNT bags on the back. Some distribution centers have a few WorkCycles bikes as loaners, but not many. Basically the Dutch Post (TNT) doesn't buy and maintain bikes since they figure that everybody i the country already has a bike or two.

Hello Henry The Belt Drive Train looks dubious,I would be worried about it's Reliability. It might attract the wrong Attention and be Vandalised. The Accle Postal Delivery Bike looks good, I dont like the Propstand it looks very awkward although this is the Standard for Post Bikes. We have something Similiar in Dublin, the New ones seem to be made the same as these only in Black. We do not have many Postmen on Delivery Bikes they are very few in number, and they disappear when the Weather is bad like when it is Raining. You might only see a Bike Postie once every Two or Three Weeks . The Majority use Cars and Park in Estates and Walk around with a Small Bag of Mail on a Road.

The Bike Buddy might be better if it had a Saddle to Sit on, very Tiring Bobbing up and down all the Time. Of course it Suits it's Purpose of being an Excercise Machine that's all. It is not a Serious Bike. I wonder if it is as Efficient as they make it out to be for going up Hills. It could do with a Carrier on the Back and at least a Basket on the front.
